Barrack OBama. Have we ever had a more elegant President or classy First Lady with more lovely and well behaved children? Americas First Family is a revolution in First Families. They’re good looking without looking like models, stylish without being outrageous, well educated without being pretentious, accomplished speakers without being grandiose, cordial without being overly chummy, tasteful without being overly intimate, respectful without simpering, tolerant while not giving in, determined without being single-minded.
Barrack regardless of your political persuasions is like a shiny new penny for the United States of America. He represents who we want to be as a country. He and Michelle have great senses of humor, are tapped into the American psyche and pop culture, can stay on pitch when singing an old Motown tune, dance gracefully at the ball or get down with it on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, care about we the people by trying to keep kids healthy, trying to do something about the violence in our cities, work hard for us not to be in debt, ask that we stop the senseless violence, try to live our lives the best we can with the best education available.
Being President where bureaucracy is outrageous, the monetary system is broken, everybody thinks they have the right answer while ‘the other side’ has the wrong the answer. Listen to me and the ‘my way or the highway’ mentality that is holding our country hostage, is tough for anyone in leadership. How do you keep hundreds of millions of people safe from harm, housed, fed, and educated, let alone figure out the funding for everything. Everyone wants a piece of the American Dream.
Anyone in high office is going to generate discord among varying opinions and beliefs. The political controversies and thought diversities are scattered over a large debris field indeed. The clock is ticking and time is running out for Barrack and Michelle, but don’t we love having an eloquent family to represent us in the world? I’m certainly going to miss that starting in 2017.
